Osteogenic potential of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). Both types of MSCs were treated with induction medium for 21 days, and differentiation potential was assessed with quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). a Differences in matrix mineralisation were seen between human fallopian tube MSCs (hFTMSCs) and human fallopian tube mucosa MSCs (hFMMSCs) by staining with 2 % Alizarin Red (×100). b Quantitative RT-PCR shows that alkaline phosphatase, osteocalcin, and osteonectin levels were significantly higher in hFTMSCs compared with hFMMSCs (P <0.05).
