Immunocytochemical detection of pluripotency-associated surface proteins in somatic cells used for generation of induced pluripotent stem cells. Fibroblastic and epithelial cells from the initial starting material were stained with anti-NANOG, anti-OCT3/4, anti-C-MYC, anti-TRA-1-60, and anti-TRA-1-81 antibodies and counterstained with 4ʹ,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI). Urinary epithelial cells displayed TRA-1-60 and TRA-1-81 markers on their surface as captured with an Eclipse Ci-S epifluorescence microscope with 20× objective. Scale bar = 100 μm
