Diagrammatic representation of the experimental procedure to analyze the effects of PTH (80 μg/kg/day, Bachem, Torrance, CA) and RANKL (6 μg/day, PeproTech, Rocky Hill, NJ) treatment during multiple rounds of chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide (CTX,5 mg) and/or G-CSF, 250 μg/kg/day. In the last 2 weeks, one-half of the CTL and G groups received no treatment. At the end of the 10-week treatment period, mice were scarified (S), and bone marrow HSPCs (CTL / G / PTH) and HSPCs mobilized into the blood (CTL / G / P + G / P + R / P + R + G) were assessed by competitive repopulation assay (n = 6–8 each group)
