Enhanced cutaneous wound healing by mesenchymal stem cells. This involves accelerating wound closure, increasing angiogenesis, decreasing wound inflammation, positively regulating extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, and promoting regeneration of normal skin architecture and functioning. These effects are mediated via paracrine signaling.
