In-vivo analysis of the pluripotency of hESCs cultured in XF-HFF/CDM. hESC-1 cells were s.c. injected into the SCID mice. Sections of the resulting teratomas were stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Histological analysis of teratomas derived from hESCs cultured in xeno-free conditions after 35 passages. All three germ-layer-derived tissues were observed, including secretory epithelium (endoderm) (left, 10× magnification), skin epithelium (ectoderm) (middle, 20× magnification), and cartilage (mesoderm) (right, 20× magnification)
