Expression of HO-1 protein and mRNA in the graft after SBTx. Expression of HO-1 in protein (a) and mRNA (b) was confirmed by western blot assay and real-time PCR, respectively (n = 5 in each group). Relative content was determined by HO-1/β-actin ratio. High-level and steady expression of HO-1 protein and mRNA were observed in the Ad/HO-1/BMMSC group (*P < 0.05 compared with allogeneic controls; # P < 0.05 compared with BMMSC controls; $ P < 0.05 compared with Ad/BMMSC controls).
