From: Transplantation of human bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells reduces liver fibrosis more effectively than Wharton’s jelly mesenchymal stromal cells

Study design: Rats were treated with CCl4 (1:1 ratio, CCl4:olive oil) or olive oil alone for 8 weeks to induce liver fibrosis/cirrhosis. After 8 weeks of CCl4 injection, rats were randomly assigned into three groups and injected with vehicle PlamaLyte-A(PLA) alone, BM-MSCs (10 × 106 cells/rat) or WJ-MSCs (10 × 106 cells/rat). Rats were sacrificed at days 30 and 70 after MSCs transplantation.
