Infusion of BM-MSCs delays skin graft rejection via modification of cytokine secretion profile of T cells. BALB/c mice grafted with full-thickness allogeneic back skin from C57BL/6 mice and treated with MSCs or cyclosporin as described in Methods. Mice sacrificed on day 5, 10, or 15 after transplantation, and serum levels of TNF-α, INF-γ, IL-4, IL-5, IL-17, IL-6, IL-21, IL-2, and IL-10 measured.
