The smoking chamber. For each cigarette smoke exposure session, 3 cigarettes were burnt in the compartment (B) and the smoke produced was continuously ventilated by 2 air pumps (A) to another compartment where the rats were placed (C). Each session lasted for 15 min, and the smoke was simultaneously ventilated out from the chamber into the air through a polyvinyl chloride tube (D)
