The downregulation of miR-205 results in the increased expression of the transcriptional regulator NOTCH2, further augmenting the secretion of VEGF and bFGF. Increased expression of angiogenic factors by suppressing miR-205, promoting ECFC angiogenesis and thereby accelerating new bone formation and remodeling
