Histological analysis POD 2. Both sham injected (group B1) and MPC injected (group B2) animals displayed moderate signs of ischemic injury after 2h WIT assessed by H&E staining. After sham (a) and cell (b) injections, FluoSpheres® polystyrene beads (black and white arrow heads, white circles) were detectable in the tibialis anterior muscle. Their presence was confirmed by fluorescence microscopy. In contrast to sham-injected animals, a dense cellular aggregate surrounding the co-injected beads was observed (b, left column).
