The alleviation of age-related bone loss of aged mice in response to HDAC6 inhibition. Tubastatin A, was administrated intraperitoneally to 17-month-old mice. After 30-day administration, femur (A), tibia (C) and L5 vertebrae (E) were harvested. Micro-CT was employed to evaluate the trabecular bone microstructure. Trabecular bone parameters including BV/TV, Tb.N, and Tb.Sp were quantified. Representative 3D reconstruction images of trabecular bone in the distal femur (B), proximal tibia (D), and L5 vertebrae (F) were displayed. Serum levels of bone turnover markers, osteocalcin and N-telopeptide, in aged mice with tubastatin A administration were determined by ELISA (G).
