Flow chart describing the selection of studies for the systematic review and meta-analysis of comparing the efficacy of adult stem cell combination therapy with standardized medical treatment in patients with ESLD, showing the number of studies excluded at each step, as well as the reasons for exclusion from the systematic review and meta-analysis. A total of 1593 references were retrieved from the four database, and 11 articles were obtained by manual retrieval. Of these 1604 studies, eight articles met the inclusion criteria for the final analysis after full-text evaluation
