Candidate stem cell types for the treatment of liver fibrosis/cirrhosis. Different types of stem cells for the treatment of liver fibrosis/cirrhosis, especially MSCs, can originate from various tissues such as adipose, umbilical cord, teeth, bone marrow, blood, liver, etc. Differentiated hepatocyte-like cells and EPCs in vitro can also be used as alternative cell sources.
