Phase image of tissue culture plastic (TCP; two-dimensional) and hydrogel (three-dimensional) encapsulated human adipose-derived stem cells (hADSCs) exhibiting (A) fibroblastic-like morphology and (B) rounded morphology after 2 days of seeding. hADSCs were seeded at a final concentration of 0.5×106 cells/ml in a 96-well plate.
