Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells promote tumor growth in nude mice. (a) Representative photographs of 4T1 and DU145 tumors generated from nude mice injected with tumor cells alone, co-injected with mouse skin fibroblasts, or bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs). (b) Mouse bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (mBM-MSCs) alone and 4T1 cells along with or without mBM-MSCs/skin fibroblasts were injected and the tumor size was measured and calculated every 3 days (n = 6 per group; *P <0.05).
