(B) Representative images stained for NeuN (red) and collagen IV (green) 28 days after transplantation. No Hoechst-positive cells (blue) are evident in the medium control animal (a), whereas many transplanted cells are still present in the transplant animal (b). The high-power image in (c) demonstrates co-localization of Hoechst 33342 and NeuN in the penumbra region, indicating neuronal differentiation of transplanted cells. All scale bars = 10 μm.
