Wounds treated with CAC (OPN) + collagen (D) demonstrated increased blood vessel number and diameter as compared to other groups. Collagen (B) and CAC + collagen (C) treated wounds demonstrate increased blood vessel number and length when compared to untreated wounds (A). Untreated wounds have a reduced blood vessel surface area and length density as represented by the relative absence of blood vessels seen in image A when compared to other images. Scale bar = 200 μm.
