BrdU-labeled cells were found throughout the rostrocaudal axis of the QA-lesioned striatum 12 weeks after transplantation of nonprimed (a through f) and lithium chloride-primed (g through l) transplants. No difference was found in the number (m) or distribution (n) of BrdU-labeled cells between lithium chloride-primed and nonprimed transplants (Tukey box plot with min/max inner fences). Boxed regions in (a through c) and (g through i) indicate the regions imaged in (d through f) and (j through l), respectively.
