Multipotency of adipose stem cells. Stem cells isolated from lipoaspirates (L) (A, D, F, I, L) and from lipoaspirates enriched with stem cells (L + SC) (B, E, G, J, M) were evaluated for their ability to differentiate into adipocyte-like cells staining positive for Oil-red O (red vacuoles, A, B) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (magenta, D, E), endothelial-like cells positive for CD31 (green fluorescence, F, G), and muscle cells positive for smooth muscle actin (SMA; red fluorescence, I, J) and alpha sarcometic actin (ASA; red fluorescence, L, M).
