Migration capacity of hypoxic and normoxic hMSCs towards growth factors, chemokines and inflammatory cytokines. In vitro migration was assayed in transwell plates with porous polycarbonate membranes (pore size: 5 um). Columns represent the difference between the mean numbers of induced and spontaneously migrating cells (no chemoattractant added). Each condition was tested in four wells; each experiment was repeated four times. The bars represent 1 SEM from four independent experiments combined (n = 16). × - P > 0.05, ×× - P < 0.05.
