All human and mouse mobilized CD34+ bone marrow stem cells exhibit embryonic stem cell (ESC) and germ layer lineage proteins in vitro. Immunocytochemistry of mobilized human (a) and mouse (b) CD34+ cells in culture show that all human and mouse cells expressed ESC and germ layer lineage proteins. DAPI (blue) cell nuclear staining indicates all of the nucleated cells in each field. The results given for human are representative of two experiments, and for mouse of three experiments.
