Cells isolated from the low-energy traumatized tissue express a robust stem cell phenotype immediately after isolation that is reduced over-time in monolayer culture conditions. Relative expression levels of a OCT4 and b NANOG were investigated by q-RT-PCR on total cells (prior to the 2 h incubation for progenitor cells isolation) and isolated cells (adherent cells after the 2 h incubation) on days 1, 3, 5, and 7.
