Mechanisms of tumor growth inhibition by engrafted hAFMSCs in an orthotopic xenograft mouse model. A, C, E, G Quantitative RT-PCR and B, D, F, H western blot analysis was performed to analyze the expression of A, B cell cycle-, C, D pro-apoptotic-, E, F EMT-, and G, H MMP7-related genes in the PANC1 tumors of orthotopic xenograft mice that received hAFMSCs or PBS. Values were normalized to the β-actin gene and are expressed relative to the PANC1 group. Human β-actin was used as a normalization control. The results are shown as the mean ± SD of 3 independent experiments. *P < 0.05 and **P < 0.01 versus the PANC1 group by Student’s t-test
