(d) Seven days after irradiation, the extent of liver degeneration/necrosis (arrow) was not significantly different between (e) G1 and (f) G2 mice. Twenty-one days after irradiation, however, areas of liver degeneration/necrosis were smaller in (g) G1 mice compared with those in (h) G2 mice.
